Cinnamon Sugar Donut Holes
There are certain foods that just taste better when you make them at home. Donuts are one of them. Because, you'll never truly get the fresh from the fryer donut at the shops. These cinnamon sugar donut holes are so easy to make and so delicious. They're the perfect little sweet bite this Fall.
INGREDIENTS FOR CINNAMON SUGAR DONUT HOLES:
- All-purpose flour
- Baking powder
- Cinnamon
- Nutmeg
- Granulated Sugar
- Salt
- Apple Cider
- Eggs
- Ricotta
- Vanilla Extract
HOW TO MAKE MY CINNAMON SUGAR DONUT HOLES:
- Prepare a pot with a neutral frying oil heated to 375°F.
- Combine all your dry ingredients together including the flour, cinnamon, salt, baking powder, nutmeg and sugar and whisk until combined.
- Combine all your wet ingredients together and whisk until combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until just combined and no more streaks of flour are visible. Be careful not to overmix.
- Prepare your cinnamon-sugar mixture by pouring your sugar into a medium-sized bowl along with your cinnamon. Mix to combine and set aside.
- Using a mini ice cream scoop to pick up the donut batter and gently release it into the prepared oil. Cook for about 1-2 minutes each side until golden brown. I cook about 5 or 6 at a time, because I don't want the oil temperature to go down too much and I don't want to overcrowd the pot.
- Remove the donuts from the oil and place them on a paper-towel lined plate or on a wire rack. While still hot, place the donuts in the cinnamon-sugar mixture and toss until the donut hole is coated in cinnamon-sugar. Place on a separate plate and enjoy warm!

Enjoy fresh while warm.
You can store excess batter in the fridge covered in a container and fry the next day. Just allow the batter to get back up to room temperature first.
