My brothers and I.
Hello everyone! My name is Fatima, also known as Faye. I’m 27 and experiencing a quarter-life crisis everyday. I have loved food ever since I can remember. My mom always says, “I eat to live, but you live to eat.” I can’t say she’s wrong…
I’m a proud foodie and have no issue admitting it. The thing that keeps me from serious self-esteem issues is that I know that there are plenty of people out there just like me. They love to eat, cook, bake, share recipes, etc. This is the “foodie” generation. Just look at social media if you think I’m lying.
I’m formerly a culinary arts student. I studied cooking for a while, before strictly focusing on the baking and pastries program. I have loved baking ever since I was a child. Maybe it was the Easy Bake Oven? Maybe it was eating the baked treats my aunts or grandmas would make growing up? Maybe it was just living off of Food Network? I don’t know what exactly caused it, but I’m certainly glad the interest came up. It’s been a love and hobby of mine ever since. After culinary school, I began to work in the food industry. I’ve worked at a hotel, bakeries, restaurants and more. I’ve learned a lot and use the knowledge I’ve gained from my personal experiences with home cooking, culinary school and working in the industry for a decade, to share on this blog and YouTube channel I have.
I come from a big Lebanese family. I’m the oldest of three children. We have a big extended family and at the center of it is a lot of food during family gatherings. Food just brings people together. That’s really why I love it and it’s my passion.
The goal of the blog and YouTube channel is simple. I want to share what I know and the new stuff I learn daily. I wanted to create an online platform where both newbies and foodies can communicate and enjoy the content. The goal is to build a foodie community. We are just in our infancy, but I believe we are going to get there really soon.
In my free time, I love spending time with my family and friends. I love to cook/bake, read, travel and get involved in the community. I also love nature and watching all the documentaries about it.
At the end of the day, this blog is for you gals and guys. I truly hope you enjoy the content and I hope you engage, contribute and share your feedback.
