M&M's Fudge Brownies

M&M's have long been a favorite American candy. There's a good reason why. It's the perfect snack. Milk chocolate in a crunchy candy shell. I love personally using M&M's in a lot of my random desserts. One of my favorites is using them in brownies. Brownies are the perfect vehicle for this perfect candy. These M&M's fudge brownies are out of this world good. You get the perfect crackly top that I think is essential for a brownie and the interior is soft, fudgy, and super chocolatey. The crunchy M&M's throughout takes it over the top. You have to try these!

How to Make M&M's Fudge Brownies:

  • Begin by adding your granulated sugar and light brown sugar into a large bowl. Whisk together until combined and break up any large lumps. Add in your melted, room temperature unsalted butter and vegetable oil and whisk until combined. Add in your vanilla and whisk until combined and then add in your eggs, mixing well after each addition. Set aside.

  • Combine all your dry ingredients in a separate bowl and whisk to combine. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients. Add your chopped chocolate and M&M's and use a rubber spatula to fold in gently until just combined. Be sure not to overmix or you will have dry brownies and no one wants that!

  • Pour the brownie mixture into an 8x8" square pan lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper and spray well with cooking spray. Use an offset spatula to even out the mixture. Gently press some chocolate chips and M&M's on top. Bake at 350°F for about 30 minutes, checking on the mixture at the 25-minute mark. For me 30 minutes was perfect. Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for another 15 minutes out of the oven and they'll continue to cook and become more set.

Cut up and enjoy!

  • 8 oz unsalted butter melted and cooled to room temp
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light brown sugar
  • 4 whole eggs room temp
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Hershey's Special Dark Cocoa Powder
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon Nescafe Taster's Choice House Blend Instant Coffee Light
  • 4 oz semisweet Ghirardelli chocolate chopped
  • 3 oz bittersweet Ghirardelli chocolate chopped
  • ½ cup mini M&M's
  • ¼ cup mini chocolate chips for the top optional
